Colorado

Well i am going to Colorado tomorrow, how come it isn't warm there? and for that matter, how come it isn't warm here?? it was warm now its not its like we are super speeding through the seasons

Well i am all done with finals and i am much much happier now. People can actually speak to me now without losing their heads and i am getting full nights of sleep.

so i have like a week off and then i have clinic every day its like working without all the unnessary pay, oh yeah and i always feel like i am in the way grr oh well at least i don't have to study

in like two weeks a graduate from a radiation therapy program in England will be comming to stay with me, i hope we get along cauz it could be a long time (4 weeks) if we don't hehe

i am getting pretty close to having no food in my apartment
i have like 2 cans of soup, some ravioli, some cereal, pop, and minipizzas
compared to the amount of food i usually have, this is nothing

i wish my mom was here to help me pack, i hate packing alone i like to have someone to say oh no u do'nt need that, or whydon't u bring this? its handy

well i guess i should shower cauz i am in no condition to leave the house and beforei know it bryan will be here to bug me (haha just kidding)
i hope we don't fight about noodles like we did the last time he came here

Finals week

I have decided to try somthing new for finals this semester. I am not going to worry about them at all. I discovered i only need like a 65 % on each of my remaining finals to pass with a B- and believe me i should know 70% of the material without even studying. Plus we have the sweetest schedule this semester, the best i have ever had no early mornings, only one per day. A few weeks ago i thought this semester was the semester from Hell but now life is looking pretty good.

"There are only two things i can't tolerate, the first is people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the other is the DUTCH." - Austin Powers in Goldmember

ok i guess i better study a little - gotta strive for the A

in the future i am going to try to come up with witty observations about the world - i just can't think of any right now

I am obsessed with ebay

Well its true, i am obessed with ebay, i love auctions in general they are so fun. I spent hours on thursday and friday (when i should have been studying) looking up harry potter books on ebay. Its the weekend before finals and i just couldn't tear myself away.

Whoohoo this semester is almost over and i can just stress about clinic all summer - no class.
Bryan and I are going to colorado on April 30, i let him talk me into signing up to take a 6:20 am flight out of GR ahhh. oh well i will prolly deal with it better than him since i have to get up early all the time now.

my neck really hurts i think its from my crappy mattress grr

ok i guess i should study since Bonita kept saying stuff like "and make sure you know this" " and you will definately see this again later" if she put everything on the test that she implied would be there the test would take 6 hours to complete - not to mention how long it would take her to grade them.

i guess its back to the staging for cervical cancer - i wonder if there is anything cool on ebay.... jk

"Sword?" said Lockhart dimly. "Havent' got a sword. That boy has, though" He pointed to Harry. "He'll lend you one"
-Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Chicago

Well i went to Chicago today with my program (it was a funraiser for us) and a whole bunch of other people from grand valley (far more than i thought were going to come) to see the Body Worlds exhibit - i am so glad i went it was absolutely amazing they have things there that you cannot possibly see in cadaver lab i didn't even buy a book that shows the exhibits because after i saw the real thing, the book just didn't do it justice
the best things i saw were the models of bodies and limbs that had no tissue or bones or organs or anything - just the blood vessels dyed red -without the technology for preservation they have developed no one would be able to see the fine network of blood vessels that way it was incredible and it gives me and my friends i was walking with a whole new appreciation for the complexity of the body and God's handiwork
the others things i was really glad i had the opportunity to see were the organs and tissues that were on display to show the diseses that people can suffer though - i saw a kidney that had hydronephrosis and now i will never have to wonder when i read in a patient's chart what that looks like

i am also very happy to have a little down time before finals -my stupid papers were due and now i am free (except for two quizes next week grr)

i just had to share

I just had to share the good news that i finally finished my genitourinary case study - whowhooo! i think u get the point - i am happy 20 pages total - 1 page longer than the cervical cancer paper, but i used more diagrams in this one

anyway only one more major paper this semester lol and then i can start all over in the fall :)

Oh wednesday -the week is almost over

Weeks go so very fast - i don't know how it happens but they are over before i can blink

Every single year this happens where is it VERY nice out and i wanna go play outside but i can't because i have to finish work i could have done when it was cold and icky out -but i never remember that that is going to happen until it is too late :( how come i have such a short memory?

Just putting the finishing touches on the bladder cancer paper and then only one huge paper left - esophogeal cancer! Imagine having a huge tumor in you stomach and not knowing it until it was really huge - thats a scary thought
somtimes i want to cry when i realize what my patients go through :(
well i better get some work done or else big B won't let me go home for the weekend (like he can control me hehe)

The end is in sight

The end of the semester is in sight - this is making me feel happy

this made me chuckle:
Bushism
"Let me tell you my thoughts about tax relief. When your economy is kind of ooching along, its important to let people have more of their own money"

whew

My Gynecologic case study is finally done 17 pages of writing, 19 pages if you include the title page and works cited - so i was pretty close with my 20 pg estimate :) now my genitourinary case study was due today so i am still behind but it is my goal to have that one done by wed to turn in :)

man this part of the semester gets so overwhelming - she was trying to talk to us today about what we need to do for relay for life in june and it seems so far away

if anyone who reads this would like to donate a luminaria bag in honor or memory of someone who survived or died of cancer - let me know
